How to play 3d tic tac toe ? Players take turns placing their mark in a cube-shaped grid instead of a flat board. A common version uses a 3 axis, which means there are 4 layers with 4 rows and 4 columns in each layer. The goal is to make a straight line of 4 of your marks before your opponent does.
A winning line can go in many directions. It may be across a row, down a column, vertically through layers, or along diagonals that cross a single layer or the entire cube. This is what makes the game much more challenging than standard tic-tac-toe, because players must watch for threats and opportunities in three dimensions at once.
